The Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) conducts independent merits review of administrative decisions made under Commonwealth laws. The AAT review decisions made by Australian Government ministers, departments and agencies and, in limited circumstances, decisions made by state government and non-government bodies.
We can represent you and your family for any Migration Review appeals should you have your visa refused or cancelled. We represent you through the entire visa application process. When your visa has been refused by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection, you may be able to lodge an application for review to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) or Refugee Review Tribunal (RRT). The AAT or RRT has been established to consider your case afresh and allow you to present new information to the tribunal. If the AAT or RRT affirms the Department’s refusal decision, you may lodge a request to the Minister for Immigration for intervention in your case or you may lodge an appeal to the Federal Court.
